A small insight into myself and my photography.
As a keen hiker for many years I've always enjoyed the scenery that the UK has to offer. However, two major events combined to provide the inspiration for my passion for landscape photography - the advent of the digital camera and discovering the stunning scenery of the Snowdonia National Park following my relocation to Mold, North Wales in 1997.
As a completely self taught landscape photographer I prefer to capture the natural appearance of landscapes, with the best lighting often being provided by sunrise and sunset meaning early mornings and late evenings spent "chasing the light". Some of my photographs have also been taken whilst hiking amongst the wonderful scenery that the UK has to offer, particularly along the coastline of the Isle of Anglesey and within the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park, although I have also become a frequent visitor to the Lake District.
