As a local photographer, living near the Snowdonia National Park, and the author of the photo location guidebook PHOTOGRAPHING NORTH WALES, I'm very familiar with the wonderful scenery North Wales has to offer and local knowledge means I know those special places that only someone living here is familiar with. I hold the IOSH 'Managing safely' certificate, risk assess all workshops and hold appropriate insurance, all ensuring that you have a safe and enjoyable day developing your photography skills. I have a background in teaching and a BA (Hons) Degree in Education & Training.

  SNOWDONIA LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP WORKSHOPS

Spend a day surrounded by the stunning scenery of Cwm Idwal in the Snowdonia National Park with the chance to photograph the dramatic views of the Glyderau and Carneddau mountain ranges, the glacial lakes of Llyn Idwal and Llyn Ogwen and the impressive Ogwen Falls. The Snowdonia photography workshop begins at 10.00am and finishes at 4.00pm and is suitable for beginners or anyone looking to further develop their digital/landscape photography. Group numbers are deliberately kept small ensuring everyone gets the most from the day.

You'll learn how to make the most of your camera controls, how and when to use filters and how to improve your images through composition. There's also some 1-2-1 time for everybody during the day to cover any specific requirements you may have.

Payment can be made by Paypal (includes debit/credit cards), Bank Transfer or cheque.

To pay by bank transfer/cheque please contact me by clicking here to email me: simon@landscapephotographyuk.com or calling me on 0797 3281161. For PayPal or Debit/Credit card payment just choose your workshop from the drop-down menu below and select "Pay Now"

Snowdonia Group Workshops - more details:

Please be aware that this workshop does involve some walking activity which whilst not strenuous is on uneven paths/ground and includes some inclines so a reasonable level of fitness/mobility will be required.

What do you need to bring with you?

  • Camera/lenses/Spare memory card/batteries/tripod - A digital camera with "semi-automatic/manual" controls (Aperture and Shutter priority) is recommended to get the most from the course.

  • Filters (if you have them)

  • A packed lunch/snacks

  • The relevant user manual for your camera

  • Warm/waterproof clothing and suitable footwear - weather can be unpredictable all year round in Snowdonia.

What is NOT included in the Snowdonia workshop?

A packed lunch, accommodation, personal accident/equipment/cancellation insurance. I recommend you consider obtaining suitable personal insurance to cover both your equipment and travel.

What happens in bad weather?

I monitor weather forecasts and if conditions are predicted to be completely unsuitable, to ensure both your safety and enjoyment of the day, it may be necessary to cancel a workshop. I will endeavour to provide at least 24hrs notice, although this cannot always be guaranteed; you will be offered either a full refund or a place on a future course.
