A cloudy day was forecast today but they can make for the most interesting days out withe the camera so I decided I'd have a wander on the lower slopes of Snowdon. The cloud was rolling through the valley of Nant Gwynant and looking pretty spectacular as it drifted slowly through the Llanberis Pass below me. Snowdon summit played a game of hide and seek all day, and won, never revealing itself from behind the layers of cloud.
I took the chance that sunset might give me a chance of a decent photo and my patience was rewarded with just a few minutes of magic light. The sunset looked pretty good over the Snowdon Horseshoe but looking behind me, over the peaks of the Glyderau mountains was even better so I manged to get shots of both before more cloud rolled in and it was time to make my way back down the Pyg Track and head off home.... all in all a day full of atmosphere, great to be out in with the bonus of a couple of nice photos!
