First Snowdonia snowfall of winter on iconic Tryfan

Tryfan in Eryri Snowdonia with a fresh snowfall

Managed to visit Snowdonia National Park (Eryri) this morning to capture the first snowfall of winter. Tryfan, in particular, presented an extraordinary sight, cloaked in its pristine winter coat. The snow transformed the rugged landscape, softening its harsh lines while accentuating the majestic peaks that dominate the skyline. The contrast of the white snow against the dark rock faces created a striking visual that is truly emblematic of winter in this breathtaking region.

As the light played over the mountains, I was reminded of the ever-changing beauty that Snowdonia has to offer. Each snowfall brings a unique opportunity to explore new compositions and perspectives, invoking a sense of tranquillity that can only be found in nature's untouched areas. Today, I was fortunate enough to witness the raw beauty of Tryfan, where the crisp air and stunning scenery rekindled my passion for landscape photography.

The stillness of the morning, interrupted only by the crunch of snow beneath my boots, set the perfect stage for capturing the essence of this iconic landmark. As I composed my shots, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore and document such a remarkable part of North Wales. The snowfall has set the scene for what promises to be a captivating winter season, inspiring many more photographic adventures to come.

Eryri Snowdonia National Park is a beautiful area of Wales with endless photo opportunities from ancient castles to abandoned slate quarries and scenic villages. For many visitors the mountains, lakes and waterfalls are the main attractions and my Eryri Snowdonia photography showcases these wonderful places including sunrise photos of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and the famous Llanberis lone tree, pictures of the stunning Glyderau mountains from my favourite Eryri Snowdonia location, Cwm Idwal and images of the most iconic mountain in Eryri National Park, the stunning mountain peak of Tryfan.
