Sunrise photos at Talacre Lighthouse in North Wales

Talacre Lighthouse in North wales photographed at sunrise. An early start to catch the sunrise at Talacre lighthouse, the good light was shortlived but just enough time to capture a couple of nice photos of the popular lighthouse

Sunrise at Point of Ayr Lighthouse on the beach at Talacre with its amazing miles of golden sands. The lighthouse is not privately owned and no longer operational but it makes for a great photography subject and works at sunrise or sunset most times of the year.

The Point of Ayr Lighthouse, sometime known as the leaning lighthouse which is pretty obvious why from this angle. I wandered around the beach on a winter evening just as the tide had receeded leaving behind shallow pools of sea water which are perfect for photographing the lighthouse reflections

You can also explore the nearby Gronant dunes, home to the natterjack toad and a great spot for photos of the stunning marram grass

In my North Wales photos gallery you can buy stunning photo prints, framed photographs & canvases of the beautiful North Wales scenery by local photographer Simon Kitchin and discover the picturesque Welsh coastline and countryside. North Wales has some amazing places for landscape photography with the chance to photograph a stunning North Wales sunset at Talacre beach, a beautiful Llyn Peninsula sunrise at Abersoch or a spectacular fireworks display over Wales’s longest pier in Llandudno. The gallery includes North Wales images of the historic castles at Conwy, Caernarfon and Harlech, photos of Portmeirion, Llandudno pictures and the wonderful scenery of the Clwydian Hills and Dee Valley around Llangollen, home to the amazing Pontcysyllte Aqueduct on the Llangollen canal.

A wonderful sunrise at the Point of Ayr lighthouse on Talacre beach on the North Wales coast
