A beautiful misty Scottish morning on Loch Broom at Ullapool

Loch Broom is a beautiful sea loch located in northwestern Ross and Cromarty on the west coast of Scotland at the side of the town of Ullapool. Established as a fishing port in 1788,  Ullapool is a thriving hub of fishing, boating, sailing and ferry operations and a fantastic base for a photography trip to Assynt. This particualr morning I woke ready for sunrise to find mist shrouding the surrounding Scottish mountains with the Loch perfectly still creating an almost eerie calm. Several fishing boats were moored in the bay and this one with its rustic charm caught my eye so a quick swap to a telephoto lens and I grabbed this shot before the mist lifted.
