Spring sunshine and stunning views of Tryfan Peak
Yesterdays weather forecast suggested the chance of some sun in between the Eryri Snowdonia rain showers so with the chance of some moody light and fast flowing rivers/waterfalls the iconic Tryfan Peak is always one of my favourites in those conditions so I had an hour or two photographing it from different viewpoints.... middle of the day light isn't necessarily the best for landscape photography but the fleeting light helped, especially the stunning sunbursts as the cloudy conditions began to break as I arrived mid-morning. The route I chose was a wander up Pen Yr Ole Wen alongside the Afon Lloer which has just amazing views of Tryfan across the Ogwen Valley, it’s even more special after rain when the stream gushes down the hillside in an almost endless series of waterfalls and stunning smaller cascades.
If you’d like to photograph this location as well as other stunning Eryri or North Wales views then I run 121 North Wales Photography Workshops through my website. You can find full details and book here on my webpage:
