North Wales Slate Quarries Unesco World Heritage Site
The amazing industrial heritage of Dinorwig Slate quarry high in the mountain above Llanberis in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park
The “Secret waterfall” at Dinorwig Slate Quarry
Great to see North Wales's Slate Quarries being recognised by Unesco as a World Heritage Site today, for me they're a massive part of the character of the area, not maybe the "Chocolate box" landscapes of other parts of the UK but all the better for it.... here's a glimpse of some of the amazing views and industrial heritage to be discovered.
I’m now hosting photography workshops in Dinorwic quarry:
Dinorwic Quarry, located above Llanberis, was once renowned as the second largest slate quarry in the entire world, and the Dinorwic slate quarry photography workshop presents a unique opportunity to significantly enhance your photography skills in this incredibly distinctive and fascinating area that showcases Eryri Snowdonia’s rich industrial heritage. During this immersive one-day workshop, we will embark on an adventurous climb through some of the vast, abandoned sectors of the quarry, capturing photographs of the striking inclines, the derelict yet captivating buildings, the hidden Dinorwic waterfall, and the breathtaking views of the majestic Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) mountain range. The Dinorwic quarry photography workshop is truly the perfect opportunity for you to develop and refine your eye for composition, allowing you to elevate your photography to new heights—quite literally!
The Dinorwig one day photography workshops are the perfect opportunity to develop your eye for composition and improve your photography skills in a unique industrial landscape above Llanberis in Eryri (Snowdonia).
