A stunning morning of ethereal mist on Llyn Gwynant
Reflections on the Eryri (Snowdonia) lakes are not easy to photograph as sadly they’re pretty rare but when they happen it’s a special time to visit the national park and Llyn Gwynant lake is one of the best chances of capturing an image of a stunning reflection. It’s location, sitting in the bottom of the Nant Gwynant valley, protects it from the harshest weather so the lake here is calm when elsewhere in Eryri National Park is wild and windy and that also makes it one of the best places in North Wales to capture a beautiful picture of ethereal morning mist floating about the water surface, always a favourite time of mine to be out with the camera.
