Anglesey Workshop --- Sunday 18th Feb 2024

Anglesey Workshop --- Saturday 15th June 2024

What time does the workshop start/finish and where do we meet?

  • The Anglesey photography workshop will start during the morning but as access to Llanddwyn Island is affected by high tide the exact timings will be confirmed 7 days before the workshop date, once accurate tide timetables are available. The workshop duration will be approx. 6hrs. The meeting point will Llanddwyn Beach Car Park in Newborough forest.

What level of fitness/mobility is needed for the workshop?

  • The total walking distance is approx 4.5 miles, requiring a reasonable level of fitness, although frequent stops to take photos and discuss landscape photography techniques will be made. During the Anglesey photography workshop we'll be walking on soft sands, uneven paths and through forestry with uneven and short but steep inclines so participants would need a certain level of mobility. Unfortunately this workshop isn't suitable for people with limited mobility.

What do you need to bring with you?

  • Camera/lenses/Spare memory card/batteries/tripod - A digital camera with "semi-automatic/manual" controls (Aperture and Shutter priority) is recommended to get the most from the course.

  • Filters (if you have them)

  • A packed lunch/snacks

  • The relevant user manual for your camera

  • Warm/waterproof clothing and suitable footwear - weather can be unpredictable all year round in North Wales.

What is NOT included in the Anglesey workshop?

A packed lunch, accommodation, insurance. I recommend you consider obtaining suitable personal insurance to cover both your equipment and travel.

What happens in bad weather?

I monitor weather forecasts and if conditions are predicted to be completely unsuitable, to ensure both your safety and enjoyment of the day, it may be necessary to cancel a workshop. I will endeavour to provide at least 24hrs notice, although this cannot always be guaranteed; you will be offered either a full refund or a place on a future course.
