ANGLESEY PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

An Anglesey photography workshop at the stunning Llanddwyn Island & beach. Arrive for sunrise to make the most of the Golden Hour light and wander through the beautiful marram grass dunes of Llanddwyn Beach, Corsican pines of Newborough Forest and photograph the magical Tŵr Mawr lighthouse on Llanddwyn Island with its spectacular backdrop of the Llyn Peninsula.

  • For beginners or anyone looking to further develop their digital/landscape photography.

  • Course content includes camera controls, use of filters, gear choice, advice on composition.

  • 1-2-1 time for each participant during the day. 

Please note that tide timetables for access to Llanddwyn Island are unavailable until shortly before the workshop so timings at viewpoints may differ. The exact itinerary will be confirmed approx. 5 days before the workshop date.

The walking distance from car park to Llanddwyn Island is approx 1.5 miles so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. Due to the distance and nature of the terrain unfortunately the workshop is unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

What time does the workshop start/finish?

  • The workshop begins for 6.30am to catch the early morning light of golden hour and finishes at 1.00pm.

What do you need to bring with you?

  • Camera/lenses/Spare memory card/batteries/tripod - A digital camera with "semi-automatic/manual" controls (Aperture and Shutter priority) is recommended to get the most from the course.
     
  • Filters (if you have them)
     
  • A packed lunch/snacks
     
  • The relevant user manual for your camera
     
  • Warm/waterproof clothing and suitable footwear - weather can be unpredictable all year round in North Wales.
     
  • A notepad and pen
     

What is NOT included in the Anglesey workshop?

A packed lunch, accommodation, insurance. I recommend you consider obtaining suitable personal insurance to cover both your equipment and travel.
 

What happens in bad weather?

I monitor weather forecasts and if conditions are predicted to be completely unsuitable, to ensure both your safety and enjoyment of the day, it may be necessary to cancel a workshop. I will endeavour to provide at least 24hrs notice, although this cannot always be guaranteed; you will be offered either a full refund or a place on a future course.
