A snowdonia photography workshop and photo walk in Cwm Idwal. A chance to photograph the stunning scenery of the Glyderau and Carneddau mountain ranges, the glacial lakes of Llyn Idwal and Llyn Ogwen and the impressive Ogwen Falls.
  • A one day Snowdonia photography workshop suitable for all skill levels. Hosted by local landscape photographer Simon Kitchin, author of the photo location guidebook PHOTOGRAPHING NORTH WALES.

  • The course covers camera controls, use of filters, gear choice, advice on composition.

  • 1-2-1 time for each participant during the day.

  • Gift vouchers available if you're booking as a present for someone.

  • Maximum 6 in a group to ensure everyone gets the best support on the day

  • The Snowdonia photography workshop starts at 08.00am and finishes around 2.30pm

The day involves walking approx 4 miles stopping at different viewpoints along the way. Please note that paths are rocky and uneven and we make a steady ascent of 300ft to a viewpoint above the lake. Participants do require a reasonable level of fitness and mobility. Due to the terrain unfortunately the course is unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

  • The relevant user manual for your camera
  • Warm/waterproof clothing and suitable footwear - weather can be unpredictable all year round.

What is NOT included in the Snowdonia photography workshop?

A packed lunch, accommodation, insurance. I recommend you consider obtaining suitable personal insurance to cover both your equipment and travel.
